So I get this BBM from her this afternoon, stating that she just checked her pay slips from the job she started in Jan, and discovered she is only making £1950, as opposed to the £3000 she was budgeting for. Now, how do you not notice that you are £1000 short every month. Do you not look into the balance? Do you not notice that money is not there that should be? WTF?!? How do you miss that much!!!!
Then she asks me to help. How the fuck am I going to help her out of this. I can't call HM Revenue and Customs. They wont speak to me, they will only speak to her. I can't call her company, they again, wont speak with me, only to her.
Now she says we can discuss it when she gets home. Well, happy fucking days. Like that is going to help. We just moved into a new house, and went for a larger property, that was out of our price range for where she used to work. Starting this new job, and the supposed £3000/month, we could make this work easily. I had properties lined up in the same price range from where we were, but she wanted to move up in the world. Now, at £1200/month for rent (12 month lease signed in April), and £175/month in Council tax, we're supposed to live off of £575/month, to pay water, power, gas, and FOOD! For a family of 4! I guess we could cancel her TV from Sky. That is almost £75/month freed up. She would hate that, but hey, that's what you get for living in a dream world.
I guess we are going to have to hit her mother up for help. They seem to throw money at her, and my oldest. Neither one of them appreciate it, they both seem to expect it as a god given right.
Now, I know what you are thinking, how much money am I bringing in. Well, that would be £0. I don't work, as I was paying more for child care for my two kids then what I was earning. I will now of course look for weekend work, and hopefully bring in £70/wk. I can't work through the week, as the wife only gets home around 1930-2000 every night and there are no jobs for with shifts from 2030-0000. So, I can only work Sat/Sunday. Hmm.... McDonald's, here I come.
It's to bad too, I was hoping to go back to school when my youngest starts reception this fall. Guess that is off the cards, as we can't afford tuition anymore.
